Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

St. Paul in one of my favorite verses.

Government for the rich, by the rich, of the rich.

This is why I don’t vote anymore. The steep line plots the probability (y axis) of someone who is wealthier than 90% of the population being able to effect political change based on how much they care about a particular issue (x axis). The line that is pretty much flat? That’s the probability of you changing anything based on how much you care.

If you’re poor or average, it just doesn’t matter how much you care. If you’re willing to grease some palms, well!

So if you want to change something, go do it. Just remember: the ballot box is a fraud.
